Names of the dogs

If you find difficult to choose a first name for dog or cathere which will be able surely to help you.

You have to only click on the letter of your choice.

To appear in the repertory or the Books of the Origins, the dogs pure race must bear a name whose first letter is fixed according to the year of its birth.
This letter must in theory change at each year and follow the alphabetical order
Note that the initial letter, changes according to the country of origin.

 

France:

The letter B is used for the dogs which are born in 2006,
the letter C for the dogs which are born in 2007,
the letter D for 2008

The letter K, Q, W, X,  Y, and Z are never used for the dogs pure race.

 

Canada:

The letter for 2006 is the «S».
The letter of the year is not necessary for an imported dog.

 

Belgium :

The dogs born in 2006 have a first name which starts with the letter F.

 

Switzerland :

The name of the dog is not related to the year. Normally, the stockbreeder chooses the letter has for his first range, then B for the second, etc…

The dogs which come from the same range must have the same initial letter. The same name cannot be re-used during 10 years in the same breeding.

 

Luxembourg :

The alphabetical order is respected and D will thus be used for 2006.

 

This regulation addresses mainly to the dogs pure race.
