The STS-K9 protective harness from Sioen Balistics is a complete, latest-generation equipment, designed for K9 unit dogs and intervention teams. Developed in collaboration with specialized units, it incorporates feedback from numerous French and foreign dog handlers, setting a new standard for the protection of dogs involved in high-risk missions.

This vest offers NIJ IIIA ballistic protection and knife protection, while ensuring optimal flexibility and ergonomics to preserve the animal's mobility and comfort. It benefits from the latest ballistic advancements for 270° protection covering the back, belly, and flanks, thus protecting vital organs.

Easy and quick to put on, the vest is adjustable to the animal's size thanks to spacers. Its design primarily uses mesh for maximum ventilation, Cordura for areas subject to friction, and elastic parts for increased comfort. Furthermore, this harness is manufactured with fire-retardant materials.

Carrying System

This harness is equipped with various carrying points, allowing the operator to attach a leash to the front or back, perform rope missions, or carry the dog on their back or at arm's length. The three straps that surround the animal distribute traction over a wide and comfortable surface. They are fastened using CObra Austrialpin buckles. Two adjustable carrying straps are included.

Buoyancy Pack

For missions involving a river or maritime component, a buoyancy pack is included. It compensates for the vest's weight in case the dog falls into the water and also acts as an additional anti-trauma pack, absorbing the rear deformation of ballistic packs in case of ammunition impact.

Maintenance and Modularity

For ease of maintenance and modularity of the ballistic pack, the different elements of the vest are easily detachable to adapt to specific needs. The vest cover is also machine washable.

Colors

The vest is available in several colors depending on the operational theater: Multicam (on order), Olive Green (in stock), and Black (on order). The current product is Olive Green.
