Regular chewing of Prozym collagen lamellae helps reduce dental plaque formation, prevent tartar buildup, and combat bad breath in your dog.
Abrasive Texture
Prozym chewing lamellae are pieces of beef hide from Mexico, selected, cleaned, cut into strips, cooked, and coated with an appealing chicken and beef flavored coating. They are particularly appreciated by dogs and effectively stimulate their natural chewing reflex.
Enzymatic Complex
These lamellae are coated with a concentrate of whey, a source of lactoperoxidase and potassium thiocyanate, which are involved in the synthesis of the hypothiocyanite ion. This ion, along with lactoferrin and lysozyme contained in the whey, exerts a bacteriostatic action on germs implicated in dental plaque formation.
Prolonged Chewing
Regular chewing of these lamellae has a mechanical cleaning effect on tooth surfaces, which helps reduce dental plaque and/or tartar formation. Chewing also stimulates saliva secretion, which contains natural defense elements against plaque germs.
